EA's Terms: Your Money Stays, Your Account Doesn't

EA's terms are built to move in one direction โ€” toward the company. You buy in-game currency. You lose access to your account. You can't sue them in court. Here's what you're actually signing up for.

Electronic Arts makes games. They also make the rules around how you play them, what you pay for, and what happens when things go wrong.

๐Ÿ”ด Virtual currency is gone for good. You buy coins, points, or whatever they call it. If your account gets deleted or you stop playing, that balance vanishes. No refunds. No exceptions. High risk.

๐Ÿ”ด EA can shut down your account whenever they want. No detailed explanation required. They decide it violates the terms. Your account is suspended or terminated. You get the decision. That's it. High risk.

๐Ÿ”ด You can't sue them or join a class action. Any dispute gets locked into binding arbitration. You and EA go to arbitration. You can't band together with other players. You lose the courtroom. High risk.

๐ŸŸก Games can disappear without notice. EA doesn't guarantee their services will stay online. They can discontinue a game whenever they choose. Your access ends. Medium risk.

๐ŸŸก Your account is your responsibility, even when it's not your fault. If someone else uses your account and breaks the rules, EA can suspend it. The breach is yours to answer for. Medium risk.

Grade D means the house always wins.
