Fastly's Terms Are Missing. Here's What That Means.
October 1, 2026
Fastly is a content delivery and edge computing platform. They didn't provide us with actual terms of service. We got marketing copy instead.
That's a problem.
๐ด No terms document at all. We only saw marketing material. Can't assess what you're actually agreeing to.
๐ด Liability limits are invisible. Without the actual terms, we can't tell you what Fastly will or won't cover if something breaks.
๐ด Privacy policy missing. No visibility into how they handle your data or what they do with it.
๐ด SLA and uptime guarantees unknown. We can't evaluate what service availability you're actually paying for.
๐ด Billing and cancellation terms hidden. No information on how charges work or how to stop paying.
When a company won't show their terms, that's not an accident. Read them yourself before signing. They're usually in the footer of their website.
This breakdown is based on Fastly's publicly available Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy. It may contain mistakes. Spot one? Let us know.
