Freshworks Will Change the Rules When Your Subscription Renews

Freshworks is a cloud CRM and customer service platform. They operate under terms that shift with the market, control how your data gets used, and put the burden of security partly on you.

Here's what matters:

๐Ÿ”ด Freshworks can change terms at renewal with reasonable notice. You're locked in until your subscription ends. Then they can rewrite the agreement. If you don't like it, you have to leave.

๐Ÿ”ด You're responsible for keeping your data accurate and legal. Freshworks processes it to improve their service. They can mine your information to build better features. If your data is wrong or violates laws, that's on you.

๐ŸŸก Don't reverse engineer, decompile, or copy their technology. Standard restriction, clearly stated. Violate it and they'll come after you.

๐ŸŸก You have to keep your login credentials secret. Freshworks isn't liable if someone else accesses your account. Password hygiene is your job. Their security infrastructure is not their problem once credentials are compromised.

๐ŸŸข You own the intellectual property rights to anything you upload. This is what you want. Your data stays yours.

B-grade terms. Nothing catastrophic, but read the fine print before renewal.

This breakdown is based on Freshworks's publicly available Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy. It may contain mistakes. Spot one? Let us know.
