McAfee's Terms Let Them Change Everything, Access Everything, Charge You Anyway

McAfee sells antivirus and cybersecurity software. Here's what you're actually agreeing to.

๐Ÿ”ด McAfee can change the service whenever they want, with no warning. They own the feature set. If something you rely on disappears tomorrow, that's their call.

๐Ÿ”ด When you let McAfee remote in for support, they get control of your computer. What happens to files and data left behind after they disconnect isn't spelled out.

๐Ÿ”ด You pay for the service, but you're liable for charges even if McAfee can't actually fix your problem. The warranty doesn't promise they'll solve anything.

๐ŸŸก Your personal data gets handed to subcontractors who handle payments and marketing. You're not just dealing with McAfee.

๐ŸŸก You can't transfer your license to someone else or modify the software. It's theirs to keep, even if you stop using it.

You're paying for software that can change without notice, grant them computer access with unclear cleanup, and still charge you if it doesn't work. Grade D for a reason.

This breakdown is based on McAfee's publicly available Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy. It may contain mistakes. Spot one? Let us know.
